Certificate in Financial Planning Program
In recognition of the demand for Financial Planning education,
Mississippi State University is offering the Certificate in Financial
Planning. The program consists of 6 courses offered online. The
online availability provides professional education in an interactive
and convenient format.
The Certificate in Financial Planning will fulfill the education
components of the CFP® certification. The CFP® certification is the
most widely recognized financial planning certification in the United
States. The Certificate in Financial Planning offered by MSU is
registered with Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc.
Upon satisfactory completion of the online courses, a Certificate in
Financial Planning will be awarded. Many of the graduates of this
program will pursue CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER ™ certification,
and pursue careers as CFP® professionals.
"Mississippi State University, College of Business & Industry does
not certify individuals to use the CFP®, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL
PLANNER™and CFP(with flame logo)® certification marks. CFP®
certification is granted only by Certified Financial Planner Board of
Standards to those persons who, in addition to completion an
educational requirement such as this CFP® Board-Registered
Program, have met its ethics, experience and examination
requirements"
